Propeller Nuts - One of the most essential elements of the marine cast industry is the protection of a vessel's components that are subject to corrosion - typically the rudder, propeller shaft, propeller shaft struts, and prop nuts.

At Ballard Brass and Aluminum we have many years experience in supplying high quality propeller nuts of all sizes to the industry. They are usually cast in C86500 Manganese Bronze which is a high strength yellow brass with excellent corrosion resistance properties. C86500 Manganese Bronze offers the best quality product in both castability and corrosion resistance which results in a cost-effective product.

We keep most standard sizes of  propeller nut in stock at our Seattle foundry. Custom sizes - via special order - can be cast to your own specifications, including pattern fabrication.

Lead times for standard sizes are relatively quick, and there are no minimum quantities to purchase - we can cast from a single prop nut to many hundreds.
