 Zinc Collars Offering Dual Protection To Propeller Shaft Areas - The Practical Answer To Electrolysis Easy To Fit • Quickly Replaced • Economy & Safety Due to structural limitations some boat owners prefer to use Zinc Collars which clamp directly over the boat's prop shaft. Zinc Collars are available in Standard and Slim sizes - see graphics below - depending on the size required. The collars are easily mounted and secured by sturdy stainless steel bolts. Another popular choice in Zinc Casting is the Rudder Disc. The Rudder Disc attaches to any point on the boat's rudder blade and affords the usual efficient electrolysis protection. Alternatively, you can use the Zinc Plate which attaches to the rudder, whereas the Disc goes to the blade.
